Day of Kayaking, Chocolate and Bryant Park = Perfect Day...

Every summer they have free Kayaking available, the only set back is... it's in the Hudson. The Hudson river is a very dirty disgusting river, but it was so much fun it didn't matter!

May, Me and Brittani
Brittani was feeling a little sick, so she went in before we did so of course she became our photographer... May and I
This is where we could go, we weren't allowed to leave outside the piers...

Brittani and I
This is the lady who helped us get in/out. She had awesome green hair, so I thought she deserved a little shout out...

I liked the name of this boat that was docked at the pier, I thought it was clever...

Am I the only one who thinks this would be sweet?? I would love to take trapeze lessons, too bad I only have 2 1/2 weeks left!

So for dinner that night (Becky and Alicia are both in Utah at the moment, so to keep us distracted from missing them, we had to go do fun stuff like kayaking and going to dinner...), we went and ate at Max Brenner. It's a chocolate restaurant, and lets just say amazing...

How could this not taste amazing?? This was my Hazel Nut chocolate crepe, with ice cream and toffeed bananas... YUM

And to end the beautiful sunny day (we haven't had many of them this summer... I know its becuase I'm here, the Tolman curse lives on), we went and people watched and hung out in Bryant Park.
Brittani pretending she didn't know May and I by reading a book and ignoring us =)

I really like that you could see perfectly the reflection of the building on the glass of another building...

and May... I love may, she is just so random, like for instance, this is a conversation we had while enjoying Bryant Park:

May: Have you ever thrown a penny off the Empire State Building?
Deena: Uh... no
May: Me either, I'm sure it would hurt pretty bad!
Deena: Ya! Could you imagine being that person who got hit! Imagine going to the ER and saying you were knocked unconcious by a penny... funny stuff.
May: Imagine if it hit you vertically instead of horizontally... You would make a
human piggy bank!

Can you see why we're friends? I love May...
